Attorney Douglas P. Floski was raised in Mt. Morris and has practiced law in Ogle County for 30 years.

As a widely recognized three-term Ogle County State's Attorney, Floski developed crime prevention programs that were emulated throughout the state. Floski developed numerous crime prevention and victims’ rights programs that continue to be the model for many jurisdictions. His pioneering fraud prevention programs for senior citizens garnered numerous awards and honors.

Floski was the founding chairman of the Ogle County Juvenile Justice Council and helped develop numerous restitution programs that continue to benefit crime victims throughout northern Illinois. In private practice since 2003, Attorney Floski now runs a successful law practice that specializes in business, municipal and real estate law, civil litigation, estate planning, wills-trusts, Medicare planning and asset protection, and the general practice areas of family and criminal law.

Floski is the only Ogle County litigator with death penalty experience; he has argued cases before the Illinois Supreme Court, the Illinois Appellate Court and various Illinois jurisdictions, and in U.S. District Court.

In his free time, Floski heads the Floski Family Foundation, and he is a charter member of the Rock River Valley Rotary.

As president of the Byron Board of Education, Floski has spear-headed cost savings initiatives in the areas of insurance and employment costs; he has advanced educational initiatives including teacher training and evaluation, and learning initiatives that have benefited special education, general education and academically advanced students.

Floski earned his under-graduate degree from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois and his juris doctor degree from the University of Illinois.
